Bad mom alert: Martha Stewart's daughter writes tell-all book.

The headline on the low rent Examiner reads "Martha Stewart mom from hell!", information gleaned from the new tell-all book written by Stewart's daughter Alexis, who is now 46.

If they make a movie of it, it's just too bad Faye Dunaway is now too old to play Martha in her prime.

The low rent Examiner has two sets of pictures of people who just don't like each other. First set of combatants are Rachel Ray and Martha Stewart. Their animosity has been tabloid fodder before this.

And welcome to gossip hell, Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior. The supermarket rags have left Hulk alone, though other gossip sources online have mocked him mercilessly for marrying a woman that looks waaaay too much like his daughter. This story is more about the Ultimate Warrior talking trash about what Hulk did when people actually cared about either of them.

So far this year, Martha Stewart has only been mentioned in the Three Wicked Step Sister blogs and all the stories have a negative slant. Usually the stories about her being mean or possibly a lesbian. Now she gets the third part of the trifecta, she's a drunk.

All that's left for her to do now is shoot a man in Reno just to watch him die.

The low rent National Examiner spent $20 to $30 on market research this week and decided the public really likes trash about cooking stars on TV. Besides calling Rachel Ray a boss from Hell, they decided to defame Martha Stewart as well. The three sub headlines are:

• Gay confession scandal
• Shocking cancer lie
• Why she hated her parents

I will say one thing in the Examiner's defense. From what I can tell, the public does like trash about cooking stars. Posts on this blog that mention Paula Deen or Rachel Ray or Martha Stewart get lots of hits from the Bing and the Google.

Why say bad things about one person when you can say bad things about three? The Flagship wants us to know that three major cooking stars really don't like each other.

Rachel Ray, for example, wants to stop Martha Stewart. Stop her from what isn't made clear. Probably world domination.


Martha Stewart, in contrast, has nothing but bad things to say about her two competitors. The Flagship quotes her as saying Rachel Ray is a drunk and Paula Deen is a hillbilly.

Oooh. Mee-ow.


Paula Deen isn't as mean as Martha or as short sighted as Rachel. She has a plan to crush both her rivals.

And they seem so nice on TV.

Hairdresser and Comfy Shoe Alert:Who's gay and who's not

Like heaps of sleazy innuendo with a side of plausible deniability? Then you've love the National Examiner this week!

They put the pictures of eight celebrities on the cover under the headline "Who's gay and who's not!" See, they put in the possibility of "not", so if you jump to the wrong conclusion about anybody, it's your fault.

Three of the celebrities are openly gay: Ricky Martin, Sean Hayes, Meredith Baxter

Angelina Jolie has been in lesbian relationships, so she counts as bisexual.

The people on the cover who have not come out, and this may very well be because they are not gay or bisexual, are Martha Stewart, Kirstie Alley, Robert Pattinson and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

I should have posted this story in the morning, because now, I feel like I should take a shower.

I've already called the Examiner the tabloid for old people, but Rachel Ray has only been in the public eye for about six years now. Wouldn't that shoot a hole in my theory?

It certainly takes some 'splainin'. She's famous on daytime TV, and daytime TV is a favorite with old people. Also, she is ragging on Martha Stewart and Oprah Winfrey, and both of them have been famous since the Reagan Administration, so old people will not need this story 'splained to them.

She's an upstart whippersnapper, I tell ya, and she better stay OFF MY LAWN!
