Damn You Skinny (or Fat) Alert™:Best and worst celebrity diets September 2011.

The Enquirer does sometimes get a story right, but in their hearts they are liars who can't be trusted. This week on the cover, they promise the best and worst celebrity diets, but the pictures on the cover only show people who are very fat or way too skinny. There are a couple of "Guess Who?" pictures, but I don't play that. I will note that in the "Guess Who?", there is a picture of a man with his face covered where you can count his ribs like some survivor from Auschwitz, but all the rest of the people pictured are women.



Here are the too fat people named.

• Miranda Lambert: 158 pounds

• Lindsay Lohan: scary skinny
• Renee Zellweger: bag of bones
• Christie Brinkley: 107 lbs.

Last week, Star scooped the rest of the supermarket rags by telling us Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger were through. This week, it's on four covers, including the usually reliable People. Here are the different headlines.

Star gives more cover details than the others, but one of their details contradicts a plot line from last week. Allegedly, Bradley was tomcatting around according to Star, and one of his alleged trysts was Sandra Bullock. Now, it sounds like she was being a friend and go-between instead of a homewrecker.

Fresh trash on Thursdays! There is a lot of fallout from the confirmed break-up of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel this week, and this story is the detritus farthest from the scene of the crime. Star has pictures of Bradley Cooper with two different actresses out in public, which obviously means they are shagging like wild weasels either just prior to or just after the public photos are snapped. Cooper is seen with Jessica Biel in a picture that looks real dated February 26 with the caption "caught cuddling", though it just looks like a Hollywood "hello" hug. There is also a picture that could be photoshopped with Sandra Bullock dated March 5 captioned "sneaking out".

I am not giving Mr. Cooper the man slut label because the evidence is just too skimpy.

UPDATE: Since the break-up of Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger is all over the place on the supermarket rag covers the week after this story, this gets a belated Scoop of the Week label.

Bells Are Ringing Alert™?:Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper getting engaged!

Fresh trash on Thursdays! Every year or so, some gossip rag runs a story that the longtime couple of Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger are getting married. This week, it's In Touch that writes they are "getting engaged", which would imply they are not engaged yet. I have seen neither a confirmation or denial of this most recent version of this story.

Star says Bradley Cooper, star of the comedy The Hangover, and Renee Zellweger, best known for her roles in Chicago, Bridget Jones' Diary and Jerry Maguire, are getting married. The cover headline reads "Renee and Bradley Here Comes the Bride".

The couple denies it. The couple appears to value privacy a lot. Doing a quick Google search, I could not find a picture of them together on a red carpet, and the pictures I could find were paparazzi ambushes like this one.

Until further information comes to light, I'm going to say this one is a big fail for Star.
