The low rent Examiner goes with another who's gay and who isn't story, this time about people in TV news. Here's the list of people who are officially out.

• Rachel Maddow
• Don Lemon

Here's the people who are not officially out.

• Anderson Cooper
• Sam Champion
• Matt Lauer

This is the first mention on the tabloid covers for Maddow, Lemon and Champion. The Enquirer published a story outing Cooper last year, though he has made no official comment. All the previous stories about Matt Lauer implied he was a heterosexual man slut.

The Enquirer loves scatter shot stories. Why pick on one celebrity in detail when you can trash half a dozen? They call it "Hollywood out of control", but it's not all actors. The celebrities on the front cover are:

• Matt Lauer, who appears to be at a strip club

Who's Nasty and Who's Nice?

The low rent Examiner, usually in competition with the other Wicked Step Sisters for who can print the most nasty headlines, produces a front cover that is, dare I say it, fair and balanced this week. They have a grab bag story about who is nasty and who is nice, identifying three of each, then they have five pictures of celebrities who they identify inside the magazine. As usual, I didn't open the magazine to find out, but I'll admit I was tempted to do so, and I never want to open up the low rent Examiner.



Here are the three nasty celebrities they identify.

• Dr. Phil McGraw
• Angelina Jolie
• Barbara Walters

I can believe that list.

Here are the three celebrities they identify as nice.

• Angela Lansbury
• Tom Hanks
• George Clooney

Also a believable list.

These are five names they promise to identify inside the magazine as nasty or nice.

• Donald Trump
• Matt Lauer
• Sally Field
• Garth Brooks
• Madonna

Okay, I'm a little curious, but I have a pretty good idea which way each of these goes, at least about the celebrities for whom I actually have formed an opinion.

Man Slut Alert:Matt Lauer's other women

A word in Matt Lauer's defense. He has kept himself in great shape. I don't know if that makes up for the bad hair, big nose and squinty eyes, but it seems to work for him.

And by "work for him" I mean, "allows him to be a man slut".

The Flagship has pictures of four other women he has allegedly schtupped. There were first names given but not last and I didn't recognize any of them as being famous.

Will we grow to hate Matt Lauer as much as we hate Tiger Woods or John Edwards? Yes we will, if the National Enquirer has any say in it.

According to the Flagship, Matt Lauer has left his wife Annette. The couple has already issued denials.

She's a lot prettier than he is, don't you think? But why an attractive woman thinks she has to wear a horse collar when going out on the town is beyond me.
