Nicole Richie, granddaughter of Pete Escevedo, adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, BFF since kindergarten with Paris Hilton, has announced her marriage to Joel Madden, father of Richie's two children. The wedding will take place later this year.
Nicole announced this on The Late Show with David Letterman. Her friends have known for some time. As Ms. Richie said, "I have friends, not sources."
