People makes the attempt to be as humane as possible, but I personally don't want to think about all that Jaycee Dugard has been through in her life and wish her the best going forward.
Will she have to face her captors? Probably, in court. She's not 11 years old anymore, she's 29. She had 18 years stuck in a nightmare, but that nightmare's over. When she "faces her captors", there are big burly guys named bailiffs hanging around to make sure nothing happens, and after she faces the bad guys, she gets to go home and they get to go to jail for a very long time, if not the rest of their natural lives.
That's as close as we get to a happy ending in this situation.
